A total of 776 abstracts were submitted. Each and every of them was thoroughly and rigorously discussed at the meeting of the Technical Program Committee held on October 12 - 13, in Kyoto. The Committee was impressed with the high quality of the submissions and they had to make hard choices. Finally, a total of 311 (40%) were accepted for presentation at MEMS 2013 in Taipei.
